CLIENT INFORMATION

Receiving a treatment in the comfort of your own home is a wonderful and therapeutic experience that I truly believe can have many benefits to your health and wellbeing: physically and emotionally.

Many of us are incredibly busy trying to fit everything in to our day, we simply sometimes cannot find the time to take care of ourselves. By receiving your treatment at home, you may find that you are able to have more flexibility to make this essential time for yourself. When you are within your own environment, you are more likely to listen to what your body needs after your treatment; we believe that this extends all of the wonderful benefits that you received during your treatment.

You could take a nap, have a cup of tea, a warm bath, or curl up on the sofa in your pyjama's afterwards, without having to think about anything other than prolonging your wonderful post treatment relaxation.

PREPARING FOR YOUR TREATMENT...

What to wear

It is best to  wear loose and comfortable clothing that is easy to dress/undress from. If you would like to wear your dressing gown so that you are not having to change in and out of your clothes, that is absolutely fine. Underwear must be worn as a matter of hygiene and practice policy. Please note that you may be asked to remove your bra depending on the treatment/area that is being worked on - for example during a back massage. If you have any questions at all about this, please do get in touch.

Ambience

Everything needed to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere will be provided for your treatment. Relaxing music is usually played during your treatment, however if you would prefer your own music, or if you would prefer silence, please do let me know and I will adapt to your request. If you would like to, you are more than welcome to burn incense, diffuse oil or light candles during your treatment to further enhance your relaxation.

It is recommended that you choose a room for the treatment to take place in that is spacious enough for the massage table to be set up. Also I will require to be able to safely move around the table during your treatment.

I would kindly request that no other household members are present within the room during your treatment, this does also include pets.

Please ensure that there is a window open for ventilation and bathroom facilities available for me to wash my hands before and after your treatment.

Other Info

Upon booking your appointment please read the client information document as this will advise you of what to expect during and after your treatment. Tailored after care advice will be given to you after your treatment, it is recommended that you follow it to get the best out of your treatment. Drinking plenty of water and/or herbal tea is essential to assist your body with the healing process, so please ensure that you keep hydrated.

A full initial consultation will be carried out prior to your appointment, either electronically (via my booking system Fresha) or face to face if you would prefer. It may take some time when we first meet to ensure that your practitioner knows and understands your health, wellbeing and any concerns that you wish to address during your session. Please do allow yourself extra time for your first appointment so that we can get to know you. You will not be charged extra for this service. It is a vital element of receiving holistic therapy so that I can determine that it is safe for you to receive a treatment and also to tailor a treatment plan specifically for you. If you do have any existing conditions that may be exacerbated by receiving treatments, please be aware that consent may need to be requested from your GP/consultant prior to your treatment. Please note that in this instance I would be unable to treat you until we have confirmation from your GP/consultant that it is safe to treat you. I would always recommend that if you do have any existing conditions to consult your healthcare provider prior to receiving any complementary therapies.
